Now there is a bike trail linking BikePA
Route "S" to the Maryland O.C.
to Oakland Scenic Route (C&O
Canal - Washington D.C.) and/or connecting into
West Virginia at Martinsburg/Winchester.
"This link allows the cyclist a new adventure
through the fertile PA Cumberland Valley.
Scenic rural farms and roads exist along with
small historic towns. Colonial forts on
the Tuscarora Frontier (1755 - 1763) have been
documented by the Conococheague Institute at
Rock Hill Farm, Mercersburg, PA 17236.

At the intersection
where Route "S" turns East onto US40, stay
on PA Route.
Take PA Route 75 into
Maryland where it turns to MD Route 57.

the end of MD57, turn left (East) onto US
Route 40.
At the intersection of US40
and US11 turn right (South) to Williamsport.

Squire Smith Inn can provide you an affordable
wedding, set in the magnificent, cozy atmosphere
of an old, historic (1786) home. Located on an
acre of manicured ground in the Historic District,
this charming, stone building will add to the
beauty of yours, and your guests’ wedding memories.
Planning your Wedding:
Your wedding can be
tailored to your desires and budget. We can plan
with you or we can take your main objectives
and funding, and come up with our recommendations
for your approval.
Suggestions:
1. Starting with the Officiating, we can
supply your choice of ceremony from civil
to religious.
2. The Ceremony can take place in the Fendrick
Oak dining room, which can accommodate seating
for up to 18 people.
3. Light refreshments can be served using
our two parlors for indoor refreshments.
4. A buffet reception (light meal) can be
catered in the Fendrick Oak dining room one
hour after the start of refreshments in the
parlors.
5. The elegant Squire Smith bedroom is available
for the bride and groom, with three additional
rooms for guest couples. If still more rooms
are needed, we have additional accommodations
within walking distance. A Gourmet Breakfast
and afternoon snack is included with the
room.
6. Flowers can be provided to taste and budget.
7. Wedding cake, photographer, hors d’oeuvres,
entrees, offsite, “sit-down dinners” are
available. Sorry, but we cannot supply the
alcoholic beverages. We do supply soda, ice,
and setups.
8. Music options range from CD’s , to a string
quartet.
